Brittany

Brittany Veal is a passionate maternal health advocate, Full Spectrum Doula, educator, and trainer with more than 20 years of experience in public health, with a specialized focus on maternal and infant health.
She is the founder of Love, Your Doula–Indy, where she provides compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed support to families throughout the reproductive journey, including fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, loss, and lactation. Through her work, Brittany creates spaces where families feel seen, supported, informed, and empowered. Her services and areas of expertise include childbirth education, breastfeeding and infant care, safe sleep, CPR and First Aid education, and postpartum support.
Brittany is also the Founder and Director of Love Your Training Academy (LYTA), a comprehensive doula training and workforce development program designed to educate, prepare, and mentor the next generation of birthworkers. Through LYTA, she develops and facilitates comprehensive doula education, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences designed to equip emerging doulas with the knowledge, practical skills, advocacy tools, and confidence needed to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and family-centered care.
In 2023, Brittany co-founded the Indy Melanated Birth Worker Collective alongside three other doulas to strengthen connection, resources, and support among Black and Brown birthworkers across Indiana. Together, they are building a professional community rooted in equity, collaboration, and collective support.
Brittany is a Certified Full Spectrum Doula, Lactation Educator, Child Passenger Safety Technician, CPR/First Aid Instructor, Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Certified Community Health Worker, and Nurturing Parenting & Families Facilitator. Her multidisciplinary background allows her to bridge public health, maternal health education, workforce development, and direct family support.
She holds a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science from Indiana University Bloomington.
Through every client relationship, training, partnership, and community initiative, Brittany works to strengthen both families and the birthworkers who serve them—advancing maternal health through education, advocacy, compassion, and empowerment.
